Pure Bliss – MFT Stamps

The new release is live in the shop! Run over and pick up your favorites! It’s so important these days to support your favorite craft companies as many are struggling to stay afloat. MFT is a small business and each purchase goes to support a bunch of really awesome people, so if you can, please support them!

Today’s card is for my husband and is quite timely! It’s nearly our wedding anniversary and we are going away for a few days to celebrate. We are going to a natural hot springs so when I saw the JB Pure Bliss stamp set, I knew I had to use it – it’s perfect!

  1. I had some watercolor panels in my stash that I decided to use, but you could recreate the grass and the hot spring water by ink smooshing green and blue, water reactive inks on watercolor paper. To add more detail to the grass, I used a light YG copic marker to add some grass tufts. To the water, I cut slits with a craft knife so I could slide in the characters. And added some ripples with white gel pen.
  2. Cut the panel for the grass with scissors and add to a square card base.
  3. Ink blend a little blue ink in the sky and stamp some steam rising from the hot spring using JB Pure Bliss.
  4. Stamp a sentiment in the upper left corner.
  5. Stamp and copic color a few images from JB Pure Bliss. Add shading with colored pencils. Die cut the images with the coordinating die-namics.
  6. Adhere the water behind the circle of rocks. And glue the characters in place. Instead of adding them flat, add liquid glue to the bottom and then pop up the head a little with a small piece of foam tape.
  7. Die cut a heart from Blueprints 27 and add shading with pink ink. Adhere with foam tape.
  8. Embellish with a twine bow.

I appreciate all the love and support for my cards in this release. I love hearing how I’ve inspired other crafters to try something new. I’ll see you back on the blog here soon!
